The brief was to create a brand identity for small business, The Bread Queen, who sell sourdough on a subscription basis. It was an open brief and I recommended an approach which would stand out from the neutral branding of competitors. The target audience was broad, so creating something that was both approachable and premium was key.
I dove head-first into all things bread-making, from delving into research on the bread-making process to the health benefits of sourdough. I then explored three different concepts that the client could go down. The chosen direction was the energetic ‘Alive’ idea, outlined below. This concept was the perfect springboard for the logo, typography, colours and graphical executions.
